Shape what we build next
Thrive is built by one person, which has an obvious downside and one real advantage: the person who reads your email is the person who writes the code. Nothing here goes into a ticketing system to die.
Tell us what to change
Pick whichever fits. Each opens an email with the right subject line already filled in — it comes straight to Taylor.
Something is broken
A number that looks wrong, an import that failed, a screen that crashed. The email includes the four things needed to reproduce it.
Report a bug →Thrive should do this
A module, a report, a shortcut. Tell us the problem rather than the solution and we will usually find a simpler answer together.
Request a feature →Build a different tool
Thrive is the first product, not the last. If there is a job you keep doing badly because the software is hostile, we want to hear it.
Suggest a tool →On the workbench
What just shipped and what is being weighed. Kept honest — if something has been sitting here a while, that is the truth rather than a roadmap slide.
Shipped in 1.6.0
- Household Sharing now covers the whole plan — retirement, children’s savings, property and debts, not just the budget.
- Refunds from shops stop being filed as credit-card payments and return to the category they reverse.
- Retirement outlook explains what Conservative, Moderate and Aggressive mean for your own holdings, and the inflation assumption is yours to change.
- Leftover money at the end of a good month is counted once, not twice.
Being weighed
- Net worth as its own module, once it is trustworthy end to end.
- HSA tracking alongside the other tax-advantaged accounts.
- Tax insights — written, but held until the wording has been reviewed properly.
- Your suggestion. This column is short on purpose — it is meant to be filled by the emails above.
Writing
Longer thinking on private budgeting, and on the choices behind the app.
All writing →Why there is no forum here yet
An empty discussion board is worse than none — it tells a visitor the project is abandoned. Thrive is new, so for now the way in is email, and every message reaches a person who can act on it the same week. When there are enough of us that a conversation is worth having in public, this page is where the threads will live: one space per tool, with bug reports and feature requests kept apart so neither buries the other. You will not have to go looking for it.
